Let It Snow!

We rarely get snow in the southeast US. It's usually heavy rain or sleet, sometimes ice. So when the weather forecasters predicted snow for today, I naturally assumed it wouldn't happen. Silly me! As I am typing, we're getting a heavy dusting of wonderful, powdery snow! I have been trying to get over a bad cold this week, and actually had to stay home from teaching today to nurse it -- moved into the chest, which is never a good sign. Even though I'm not feeling the best, it's rather wonderful to curl up on the couch and watch the flakes come down. Maybe school will be canceled tomorrow? Sweet dreams, anyway....
