I just returned from a conference at Indiana University, and I've got a few things in mind for future posts, including:
1. An article in the latest PMLA on whether or not people still read poetry -- even academics!
2. A lecture I heard from a visiting prof on a study done on the types of reading students do.
3. A panel presentation I heard on the state of feminism today, and the differing opinions about the importance of studying women writers.
4. The digitization of books, newspapers, all print materials, and the affect this has on my job as a professional and teacher.
I'm playing catch up after missing classes part of last week, but I hope to post on one or more of these topics soon. Check back!
